I’ve Been Sick for Over a Week!

The last 2-3 week I have not been raw and I was sick (due to a virus) because I was not raw… my body took a long time to fight off the virus and I’ve had no energy. So my house is a disaster. Especially my kitchen. It’s so messy I don’t even know where to start!

Yes I do.. I’ve started by committing back to raw food. As I get a few raw meals in me and start to cleanse out the other junk my energy will rise and my focus will return. And I will regain my health. Then I’ll tackle my kitchen one item at a time. And all of the other projects that I am now behind in will get caught up this week as well.

I’ve also joined the YMCA so I can start working out as well. That will really help me to release some extra weight that I don’t need anymore! I bought a laptop as well. Because most of the work I do is on the computer and this will me I can get out of my office more often and still get stuff done. I can head to the Internet café to meet clients.
I can work in bed. I can take a road trip and still work! Ahh the freedom! Now to get a passport!

Killer Cravings and Realizations!

Hey everyone.  I’ve just had a huge realization..  if I’m right..

I have been 99.9% raw vegan since August 10, 2009! In that time I have released 8 lbs!

During the past month I’ve been doing great with my raw food and mostly I have had green smoothies almost every day. Well I also hadn’t gone to the bulk place for nuts so I haven’t had too many nuts. I had some on had but mostly almonds and sunflower seeds. Last week I went and bought cashews and macadamia nuts. And I’ve been snacking on those and not drinking my super food green smoothies.

Now I’m craving chips and fried food! And I have a big bag I bought for the kids. It’s taking all the will power I have not to break into that bag! I just realized… maybe because I’m not eating as much and I’m not drinking my super duper super food green smoothies that I’m maybe craving some other nutrients that I’m not getting.  And the old stand by past favourite snack is the first thing that comes up. Even now after this realization I still want to go grab that bag of chips!!! Nooooo…  This is so hard and I’m doing so well.  I need to be healthy.  I am a raw foodist.

I’m going to make a green smoothie!!!

Update: 5 hours later…

OMG ok after all that I did go make a green smoothie. It was great. And I wasn’t going to come back and post this because I’m embarrassed at what I did but I have to let people know!! I left the chips alone.. But 1/2 hour ago I ate 4 cheese sticks, you know the breaded melted kind. not raw not even vegan. Well Guess what after a month raw my body does NOT like those. I have a headache I feel dizzy and nauseous and my tummy is upset. I used to eat 8 of those at a time. But never noticed how bad I felt because I was feeling bad all the time. For me this was a good thing. I know for sure I don’t ever want to eat that crap again. I’m still a raw vegan even though I slipped.

Well good news. I have a friend that is going to go walk with me in the mornings. He wants to be healthy too. Though not a raw foodist he does juice.

WholeFu Day 2 Superfood Green Smoothie

Well I joined the Whole Fu 100 Day Raw Food Challenge yesterday and here I am on Day two.  I made a Superfood Green Smoothie Recipe.  And it was great!!!  Kept me going most of the day!  Before the smoothie I had a banana, 32 oz of water with some fibre and msm power in it. Then I had 36 oz of the smoothie and 16 oz of water. And that’s all.   it’s 1:03 AM and I’m going to have a few olives then head to bed.

It’s been a great day! I had a Multifaith meeting and reconnected with an old friend.

Juice Feasting a New Journey

Well I decided to kick my wellness up a notch. On November 1, 2008 I started a 92 day juice feast!  Yes this can be called a juice fast as well.  The difference is the amount of juice is unlimited it’s fresh juiced fruit and veggies and their are some supplements suggested. I’m am getting a wealth of information from Juice Feasting .com It is recommended to drink about 4 quarts of juice a day. More if you are feeling hungry or are really active.

So far my progress is this:
Every day I have started with 1 quart of water, 1 teaspoon MSM, juice of 1/2 lemon.

Day 1 drank 1.5 quarts of juice.  Felt great. No hunger (I was just super busy).
Day 2 drank 2.5 quarts of juice.  Felt great. Had a headache. Napped from 4-6pm.
Day 3 drank 2.5 quarts of juice.  Felt great. Had a headache.
Day 4 …..  That’s today.  Headache is gone. I feel great still.
