dōTERRA Essential Oils

I love working with essential oils and have for years. Sadly many oils sold as essential oils are not pure. They may contain fillers or even artificial scents. This will take away from any therapeutic benefits of the oils.

If you are using oils for on your skin or internally (be careful only certain ones are safe internally) you want the best quality pure essential oils.  Oils that are sourced from the plant’s natural habitat.

I personally used to use whatever oils I could find with out much thought about it.  Until I went on a hunt for a certain scent. I had a friend selling dōTERRA so she got me a bottle.  The price was higher but the quality was divine. The products I made using it turned out fantastic and a couple drops went a long way! I’m hooked.

I’ve Been Sick for Over a Week!

The last 2-3 week I have not been raw and I was sick (due to a virus) because I was not raw… my body took a long time to fight off the virus and I’ve had no energy. So my house is a disaster. Especially my kitchen. It’s so messy I don’t even know where to start!

Yes I do.. I’ve started by committing back to raw food. As I get a few raw meals in me and start to cleanse out the other junk my energy will rise and my focus will return. And I will regain my health. Then I’ll tackle my kitchen one item at a time. And all of the other projects that I am now behind in will get caught up this week as well.

I’ve also joined the YMCA so I can start working out as well. That will really help me to release some extra weight that I don’t need anymore! I bought a laptop as well. Because most of the work I do is on the computer and this will me I can get out of my office more often and still get stuff done. I can head to the Internet café to meet clients.
I can work in bed. I can take a road trip and still work! Ahh the freedom! Now to get a passport!

Working On Wellness

Over the past few years I have learned a lot about health and wellness especially the holistic natural kind.  So I find my self very healthy and able to heal any illness I get within a couple of days.  Yet one thing eludes me..  My weight.  I used to eat very poorly, including a lot of fast food.  So over the years the pounds piled on.

Well when I decided to go vegetarian 4 years ago I lost a little weight.  But hey chocolate bars and chips are still vegetarian right? And butter popcorn at the movies. And we go to A LOT of movies, since we don’t watch TV.   Well I originally started this blog as a way to help other people work on their wellness, but now I think it will be a good way for me to track mine and hopefully as I make progress it will help motivate other people and inspire them to work on their wellness.

Time Management

I was asked for some advice on time management so I’m sharing it here as well because managing our time is also an important part of wellness. We need to have the time to take care of ourselves as well as those who are in our lives.

One of the best things you can do is get a good date book or online calender. I like Google Calender because it gives you reminders and you can share it with others. Rob and I can see when each other has something booked so we can plan around that. and keep all your appointments handy. That included scheduling time for family, friends and yourself. And allocate yourself a certain amount of time to do things, like check email, surf the web etc and when time is up move on to the next task. if you add a bit of free time you can go back to any unfinished tasks at that time.

Another thing I did is bought a cheap digital timer at the dollar store (actually I bought several) 1 in the kitchen for cooking. 1 in the bathroom so the kids brush their teeth for a full 2 minutes. And we use the other for random tasks. and time them. It really keeps you focused on that one task if you have a time limit.

And for the things you don’t want to do it helps to know you only have to do them for X amount of minutes.
